Meal Team

We have an active and growing meal team that currently provides two meals per month to The Urban community in the West End of Winnipeg.  One bagged meal includes a wholesome sandwich and the second includes spaghetti with meat sauce, with various accompaniments.  Each meal serves 75 people who access The Urban for social, spiritual, mental health and physical support.

We are in the process of expanding our ministry to include supplying meals/food for congregants in time of need, South Winnipeg community members in poverty and local school lunch programs.  The Epiphany Church kitchen is well equipped and organized as a commercial cooking facility so we are able to hold bulk cooking sessions.  Our most recent group effort was to prep taco salads in take-away packages as a special summer time meal for The Urban.

Our motto is ‘Many hands make light work’ and we always welcome more hands to help!
