Confirmation
Confirmation or the Affirmation of Baptism- Confirmation in the Lutheran Church is a public profession of faith prepared for by long and careful instruction. In English, it is called "affirmation of baptism", and is a mature and public reaffirmation of the faith which "marks the completion of the congregation's program of confirmation ministry
Epiphany Lutheran Church offers instruction to people who wish to be confirmed or publicly confirm their faith. Typically, students in grades 7 and 8 begin their instruction of lessons over two years. Classes are held approximately twice a month from September to April. When a person has completed all their lessons a confirmation or affirmation service is held in May on Pentecost Sunday.
We have a lot of fun as we learn about faith and our classes are 45 minutes long. We use videos, games and general conversation to learn. We have held classes in person and through Zoom. Students finishing Sunday School in Grade 6 are invited to join the confirmation class.
